Revision of standards
The standard covers products meant for purposes where the security resistance required is less than that measured by EN 1143-1.
New European Standards for burglar resistant doors, windows, curtain walling, grilles and shutters have now been published.
The European standardization Group for burglary resistance ("CEN/TC 263/WG1") was founded on 31 October 1990 at a TC 263 meeting in Brussels.
Since the 19 May 2015 the secretariat for the European standardization group for high security locks is hosted in Germany (DIN) by the NAM in VDMA.
The new and latest version of EN 1300 includes requirements on electronic keys and encryption.
